I've never heard of this demon until now. Do you have references beyond Ripvanwormer's article at the Vaults?RobJNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11240029308775902561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-306015663830354773.post-16905967003381719162010-09-29T14:21:22.824-07:002010-09-29T14:21:22.824-07:00I've been planning on posting some of the thin...I've been planning on posting some of the things I had 'done' to Blackmoor in my campaigns on my own blog, but I'll share a bit here. Firstly, after more research, I've come to think that perhaps when I poured a cyclopean mass of tentacled antediluvian horrors into the regions around Blackmoor, I may not have been as heretical as I thought.

In my trips to various Blackmoors over the years, Tsathoggua has indeed always been the lurking horror behind the Temple of The Frog.

And here's a very interesting thing I noticed about virtually all my players. If the technological elements of Blackmoor were shown or described simply as written, or pictured in art originating from TSR, they invariably rolled their eyes and lamented "you got your sci-fi in my fantasy!"

However, when I changed absolutely nothing except switching in the visuals of HR Giger for the tech, it received a different and more enthusiastic response entirely.migellitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17106614212764056058noreply@blogger.com
